Position Title MANAGER / ENGINEERING SENIOR DESIGN PROGRAM
Position Summary The Manager of Senior Design and External Relations oversees the continuous development and improvement of all senior design projects, builds and sustains external relations with the constituents.
Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in an engineering or closely related field.
5 years of experience in engineering and/or project management.
Engineering design experience.
Experience communicating timelines and actions planning to address potential challenges.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications Licensed Professional Engineer.
Teaching experience on senior design courses at the college level.
M.S. in an engineering or closely related field.
10 years of experience in engineering and/or project management.
 
Duties & Responsibilities Develops and maintains corporate relations and partnerships with local and regional industries to create multiple-semester senior design projects for engineering and engineering technology students.
Teaches Senior Design I (EGR 489) and Senior Design II (EGR 499) courses and advises multiple project teams.
Serves as faculty advisor for at least two senior design teams ever year.
Coordinates multiple projects with corporate sponsors, faculty advisors, and students throughout the year.
Oversees the coordination of public events in which the senior design students present their work.
Participates in activities related to ABET accreditation of the undergraduate engineering and engineering technology programs.
Secures sponsorship for projects, events, and student scholarships.
Performs other duties as assigned.
