Position Summary | The Senior Offensive Analyst and Assistant to the Head Coach of Football plays a critical role in the football program by providing advanced strategic support to the offensive coaching staff. This position involves detailed film analysis, game planning, and the development of offensive strategies that align with the program’s competitive goals. As a key member of the support staff, the Senior Offensive Analyst contributes to the preparation and performance of the offense while adhering to NCAA regulations. |
Required Qualifications | Bachelor’s degree in Sports Management, Analytics, or a related field. Five years of related, professional experience in data analytics and proficiency with football software (e.g., Hudl, XOS, Pro Football Focus). Demonstrated expertise in offensive football strategy, including a deep understanding of modern offensive schemes and concepts. Strong organizational, communication, and collaborative skills. Ability to perform the essential functions of this position, with or without reasonable accommodation. |
Preferred Qualifications | Master’s degree in Sports management, Analytics, or a related field. Prior experience as a coach, analyst, or staff member at the collegiate or professional level. |
Duties & Responsibilities | Game Strategy Development: Collaborates with offensive coaching staff to develop innovative game plans and strategies tailored to opponents’ strengths and weaknesses. Analyzes trends in college football offenses to provide fresh insights and competitive advantages. Film Breakdown and Analysis: Conducts advanced film analysis of opponents’ defensive schemes and tendencies using analytics tools and video platforms. Provides detailed breakdowns of in-game offensive performances for post-game evaluations and adjustments. Practice Preparation: Assists in preparing practice scripts, drill plans, and situational scenarios to maximize offensive unit efficiency. Analyzes practice footage to offer feedback on execution, player performance, and areas for improvement. Data and Analytics: Utilizes data-driven analytics to assess offensive performance metrics, play effectiveness, and situational success rates. Creates detailed scouting reports and visualizations to communicate findings to the coaching staff. Recruiting Support: Evaluates high school and transfer portal prospects for offensive potential and scheme fit. Collaborates with recruiting staff to ensure alignment between player evaluations and program needs. Compliance and Collaboration: Adheres strictly to NCAA and institutional regulations regarding coaching limitations and roles. Works closely with the Offensive Coordinator, other analysts, and student-athlete support staff to ensure a seamless integration of strategies. Performs other duties as assigned. |
