The Center of Distinction award recognizes those Wound Treatment Centers for achieving outstanding clinical outcomes for twelve consecutive months, including a patient satisfaction rate higher than 92 percent. This recognition is a testament to the exceptional care and dedication demonstrated by the Center’s physicians, leaders and clinicians.
In addition, the Wound Treatment Center at MyMichigan Medical Center Alpena received the prestigious Robert A. Warriner III, M.D., Clinical Excellence Award, placing them among the top 10 percent of eligible Healogics Wound Care Centers®. The designation is determined using comprehensive wound healing rates reported by more than 600 outpatient wound care centers. The award is named for Dr. Robert A. Warriner III, a pioneer in wound care and former chief medical officer for Healogics.
“Our wound care teams are proud to offer advanced wound care services and treatments to the communities we serve. These achievements reaffirm our mission through our partnership with Healogics to improve the health and quality of life for those in our community with wounds,” said Victor Morgan, Director of Finance and Wound Center Service Line Director, MyMichigan Health. “We are proud to be acknowledged for the outstanding care our Wound Center staff provides and making a difference in the lives of our patients.”
