Matthew Felan named Chief Executive Officer for Migizi Economic Development Company The Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe of Michigan has appointed Matthew Felan as the new Chief Executive for Migizi Economic Development Company. Migizi EDC is a Tribally owned subsidiary that handles non-gaming business interests spanning several industries, including travel and leisure, energy, housing, and land management.
Brad Bennett, Migizi EDC Board Chairman/SCIT Tribal Council Member, shares, "We are excited to welcome Matt Felan to the Migizi EDC team. Matt's passion, his ability to bring people together utilizing his expansive network, and the depth of his experience in this space, will allow us to continue to look at diversifying our portfolio and assist in growing the brand of Migizi EDC."
Felan comes to Migizi after serving for the past 11 years as the President and Chief Executive Officer of the Great Lakes Bay Business Alliance, which serves Midland, Bay, Isabella, and Saginaw Counties as well as the Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe of Michigan.

The Great Lakes Bay Regional Alliance has been a trusted partner of the Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe, and this move enhances what is already a productive and strategic relationship.
Felan has been a major fundraiser in Presidential, gubernatorial, and congressional elections for over 20 years. Currently, Felan serves as a Trustee for the Bay City Public Schools Board, including 3 years as Board President, and has held a seat on the McLaren Bay Board of Directors. Migizi Economic Development Company is a proud supporter of Special Olympics Michigan, where Matthew Felan has served as the Chief Development Officer for the organization.
New Migizi Chief Executive, Matthew Felan, stated, "I am truly honored to be selected as the next CEO of Migizi. It is a privilege to serve the people and nation of the Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe. Felan is a graduate of Michigan State University and is married with two children.
