Celebrate Giving Tuesday
 

MT. PLEASANT, Mich., December 3, 2024  — In the spirit of giving and in recognition of Giving Tuesday, Mt. Pleasant Agency and McArthur Insurance Agency are giving away $6,000 to organizations in the central Michigan area. This is the fourth year the agencies have celebrated Giving Tuesday in this way.

The agencies’ Giving Tuesday project began in 2020 because of the awareness that COVID-19 had a profound impact on schools and non-profit organizations, which had to postpone major fundraisers that year.

This year, 12 organizations have each been given $500. The 2024 recipients are:

• Beal City Public Schools
• Big Brothers Big Sisters of Mid Michigan
• Christmas Outreach of Isabella County
• Deerfield Township Fire Department
• Humane Animal Treatment Society (HATS)
• Isabella Community Soup Kitchen
• JC Youth Foundation
• Lions Club of Mt. Pleasant
• Montabella Community Schools
• Sacred Heart Academy Wish List
• Shepherd Elementary School
• Sleepy Dog Books Foundation
