Public Safety Expo

Want to get a first-hand look at what our local heroes do on a day-to-day basis? Look no further. The Public Safety Expo has all sorts of free, family fun. A plethora of local heroes will be on hand to visit. Food trucks, inflatables, live demonstrations, and an obstacle run fundraiser (must pre-register for this by May 14) at http://tiny.cc/heroichustle will also be offered. See you at Island Park.

Embark on your family-friendly edible adventure when you visit the Mt. Pleasant Farmers' Market and pick up your free Cook the Kit. Each kit includes:

 

  • A featured farm-fresh recipe.
  • Pantry ingredients.
  • A voucher for your free farm-fresh produce ingredients found at the farmers' market.

 

Kits are available for pick up at the market's cooking demonstration table on select Thursdays at Island Park and Saturdays at Town Center (corner of Main and Broadway Streets). 

 

NO REGISTRATION

 

Kits will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last—one kit per household.

 

Cook the Kit is possible through a community partnership with McLaren Health Plan, the Chippewa River District Library and Mt. Pleasant Farmers' Market.

Recreation Scholarships

Recreation Scholarship Guidelines & Application

 

The Mt. Pleasant Parks and Recreation Scholarship Fund guarantees youth who may not otherwise have the means the opportunity to participate in activities and programs. Families with certain economic restrictions are eligible to receive financial assistance through the MPPR Youth Scholarship Fund.

 

Scholarship assistance is limited to existing funds on a first-come, first-served basis and is available to youth ages 17 and under who are residents of the City of Mt. Pleasant.
