(5/9/2025) Stanton, MI – MMI is proud to announce the opening of Banker's Brew Coffee Shop in downtown Stanton. Banker's Brew is a social enterprise designed to provide job opportunities for people with disabilities and to serve as a welcoming space where the entire community can come together.
The shop offers coffee, tea, lunch, and fresh baked goods in a relaxed setting. It will be staffed by a team that includes individuals who have developed skills through MMI’s programs. These services are focused on preparing people with disabilities to thrive in meaningful roles within their communities.
“Our goal with Bankers Brew is simple but powerful: to show that people with disabilities bring important skills, talents, and energy to the workplace,” said Cherie Johnson, CEO of MMI. “When people are given opportunities to contribute, communities grow stronger. We’re proud to be a part of that here in Stanton.”
The grand opening will take place on Thursday, May 15th at 110 E. Main St. in Stanton. The community is invited to enjoy coffee samples, prizes, coupons, and to meet the team behind the counter. Everyone is welcome to join in celebrating this new venture. All profit generated by Banker's Brew is used to provide services, supports, and opportunities for people with disabilities.
