MMDC Celebrates New Headquarters with Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting Ceremony Middle Michigan Development Corporation (MMDC) celebrated the grand opening of its new headquarters at 111 South University Street in Mt. Pleasant with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Tuesday, November 26, 2024. The new headquarters will serve as a hub for economic development initiatives for the counties they serve, providing a modern and collaborative workspace for the MMDC staff. With the help of Konwinski Construction, the new space has been thoughtfully designed to foster innovation, creativity, and community engagement. “We are thrilled to unveil our new headquarters and continue our mission of driving economic development and improving the quality of life in Middle Michigan,” said James McBryde, President and CEO at MMDC. “What was old is new again since this location is where MMDC first started in 1981. This greatly enhanced new space will serve as a central location for our team to continue working with local businesses and organizations to sustain and grow the communities within our service area.” Many of MMDC’s board members and community members attended the ribbon-cutting ceremony, which was co-hosted by the Mt. Pleasant Area Chamber of Commerce. The public was invited to attend and celebrate this exciting milestone, and refreshments and tours of the new space were provided. Through a variety of initiatives, MMDC works to support job creation, attract investment, and enhance the quality of life for all area residents.
