McLaren Central Michigan Hosting 4th Annual Health Fair on Sept. 12
MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich.—McLaren Central Michigan, part of statewide McLaren Health Care and Isabella County’s leading health care provider, is again hosting its annual Health Fair, welcoming the community with opportunities to advance their wellness by participating in a range of screenings and talk with providers while enjoying an end-of-summer family fun festival.
The 4th Annual McLaren Central Michigan Health Fair will be hosted from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Fri., Sept. 12 in the hospital’s west parking lot along Brown Street, located at 1221 South Drive, near High Street.
“We consider our mission to be one deeply rooted in supporting the health and overall wellbeing of our community, both within our walls and beyond them,” said Robert David, McLaren Central Michigan President and CEO. “Organizing this free community event and bringing skilled health care provider together for the benefit of our neighbors is a meaningful effort we are grateful to lead.”
Health Fair attendees will be able to evaluate immediately crucial aspects of their primary health, provided opportunities for screenings, such as blood pressure measurements, glucose levels, speech, language, cognition, and balance and strength evaluations, among others.
McLaren Central Michigan providers will be onsite — including primary care providers, physical therapists, dietitians, joint program specialists, among others — providing their time to speak directly with those in attendance to answer questions and have discussions to address any health concerns they may have.
To round out the event’s family festivities, therapy dogs, food trucks and other vendors will be onsite, prize drawings will be hosted, and the Isabella County Medical Care Facility will organize a craft and bake sale.
