Butterflies in the Park Invites Community to Honor Loved Ones
MIDLAND, Mich. – MyMichigan Home Care, under the auspices of the MyMichigan Health Foundation, invites community members to celebrate the lives and memories of loved ones during its annual Butterflies in the Park event in Clare, Midland and Mt. Pleasant, on Sunday, Aug. 2.
A cherished tradition throughout the region, Butterflies in the Park provides the opportunity to honor or remember someone special through the symbolic release of live butterflies. Each sponsored butterfly represents a life, a legacy and the lasting impact of those who have touched our hearts.
The community is invited to attend one of three release ceremonies beginning at 1 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 2, at Shamrock Park, 221 Wilcox Parkway in Clare; Emerson Park, Shelter C, 300 W. Main Street in Midland, and Woodland Hospice House, 2597 S. Meridian Road in Mt. Pleasant.
Participation is open to everyone. Whether attending the ceremony in person or dedicating a butterfly from afar, each butterfly released serves as a heartfelt tribute to someone who has left a lasting footprint on the hearts of family and friends.
Proceeds from the event support MyMichigan Home Care and Hospice patients by helping provide compassionate home care and hospice services, medications and medical supplies for local families when they are needed most.
A $25 donation sponsors one butterfly in honor or memory of a loved one. Those interested in dedicating a butterfly or learning more may visit www.mymichigan.org/butterfliesinthepark. Those interested in more information or making a donation may contact the MyMichigan Health Foundation at (989) 839-1932.
