Position: Part-Time Prevention Educator
Organization: Isabella County Child Advocacy Center (ICCAC)
Do you have a passion for helping children learn how to stay safe and make positive choices? The Isabella County Child Advocacy Center is looking for a part-time Prevention Educator to join our team!
Our Prevention Educator teaches the Protect Yourself program to 1st and 3rd graders and the Safer, Smarter Teens program to 7th and 9th graders in Isabella County Schools. These engaging lessons empower kids and teens to recognize unsafe situations, understand boundaries, and know how to ask for help.
In addition to teaching in classrooms, this position also helps with community prevention efforts—such as parent education, awareness events, and trainings that strengthen child safety across Isabella County.
💡 What We’re Looking For:
Passion for working with children and youth
Strong communication and presentation skills
Experience in education, prevention, or human services is a plus
Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred (Education, Social Work, Child Development, etc.)
📅 Position Details:
Part-time (approx. 20 hours/week)
Typical hours: Flexible (may include some evenings or weekends)
Location: Isabella County, MI (office-based with some travel to schools)
