Directional Drilling Team Member

Location: Mount Pleasant MI Positions 2: Directional Drilling Team Member Type: Permanent Full-time Hours: 7AM – 4PM, Monday - Friday Comprehensive benefit package including 401K retirement plan, health, dental and optical insurance, long-term disability coverage, and paid time off.

GENERAL SUMMARY:

The Directional Drilling Team member is responsible for the installation of Fiber Optic Cable in and around Mt. Pleasant Michigan.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Work on horizontal direction drilling projects.
• Locate utilities and eliminate potential hazards.
• Load, unload, and transport construction materials and tools.
• Safely and efficiently operate equipment based on job requirements including locating utilities.
• Pull back fiber and conduits.
• Installation of vaults and pedestals
• Assist with drilling fluid mixing and clean-up.
• Assist with jobsite clean-up.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and/or Abilities Required:

• Ability to work on multiple priorities and/or projects simultaneously.
• Excellent listening and communications skills, both verbal and written.
• Strong customer relationship skills.
• Organized, detail oriented and self-motivated.
• Flexible and able to adapt to a rapidly changing environment.
• Possesses a valid state-issued driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail a must.
• Must be able to bend, kneel, stand, or walk for long periods of time.
• Must be able to lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs. regularly.
• Qualifications:
• 2+ years’ experience in underground utility installation is preferred.
