Women in Business - Effective Networking Strategies

Join us for our first Women in Business in 2024 focusing on Effective Networking Strategies. Our guest host, Marcie Otteman brings a wealth of knowledge on this subject!

Marcie Otteman is a longtime resident of and cheerleader for the Mount Pleasant community. She has served as president of the Mt. Pleasant Area Community Foundation and as a board member for community organizations including the Mt. Pleasant Convention and Visitors Bureau, the Art Reach of Mid-Michigan annual auction, Mt. Pleasant Fine Arts Boosters, and the Mt. Pleasant Historic District Commission.

Marcie has spent 30 years helping others find their purpose and passion. After positions in admissions at Davenport University and Lawrence Tech University, Marcie came home to Central Michigan University in 1998. She held leadership roles in admissions before moving into Alumni Relations, as Executive Director of Alumni Relations and Constituent Engagement.  

Marcie holds an undergraduate degree from Central Michigan University and a master’s degree from Michigan State University. She has been recognized for her contributions to higher education with the CMU-ACE Network’s Woman of Excellence award and the CMU Staff Excellence Award.
