Mid Michigan Business and Community Sustainability Partnership (MMBCSP), an unaffiliated local group interested in economic and community resilience through sustainability, is hosting two Solar Town Halls: Wednesday, May 10, 7 - 9 PM and Thursday, May 11, 11 AM- 1 PM at Mt. Pleasant City Hall. Information will include what is available, how to make it affordable, and how it can reduce overall energy costs. These events are free and open to the public. Panel moderators are Aaron Desentz, Mt. Pleasant City Manager, Wednesday evening and Michelle Sponseller, Mt. Pleasant Downtown Development Director, Thursday midday.
Panelists will present on solar options, including group buy-ins with discounts, community solar, and net metering, as well as financing with contractors and special rates from participating lenders with Michigan Saves, A wide variety of community stakeholders will benefit from this information.
