Guardians of the Road: Truckers Against Trafficking
Event description
Join us for an important presentation by Officer Victor Jurkowski, a Michigan State Police Motor Carrier Officer with 38 years of service and over 45 years in law enforcement. Officer Jurkowski is also the district coordinator for the Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Division’s partnership with Truckers Against Trafficking, and actively works with the Mid-Michigan Human Trafficking Task Force.
He will be discussing the Truckers Against Trafficking initiative, which has grown to engage the transportation industry, law enforcement, and advocacy groups in the fight against human trafficking. Through training, partnerships, and awareness efforts, this program has made a significant impact in helping individuals recognize the signs of trafficking and take action to support victims.
With a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, a Master’s in Counseling, and 15 years of experience as a Licensed Professional Counselor, Officer Jurkowski brings a unique perspective to this critical issue.
Don’t miss this opportunity to learn how you can be a part of the solution in the fight against human trafficking. Together, we can make a difference.
