STEM Outside: Getting Curious About Animals in Winter
Have you ever wondered where insects go in winter? Or what animal left the tracks you spotted near a sledding hill?
Explore these questions and more during this February Family MicroCamp offered in collaboration with the Center for Excellence in STEM Education. Students from kindergarten through eighth grade are invited to spend the morning in nature learning about animal adaptations and designing creative new ways that may help animals survive the winter months. After guided learning, family exploration, and open-ended designing we will close out the morning with an opportunity for students to share their ideas around the campfire.
Students must have an adult participant attend the event, and space is limited!
