Pleasant area employers and citizens concerned about the impact of healthcare reform will have an opportunity to hear what leading economists believe healthcare reform will do to the economic recovery at the Economic Outlook Luncheon\, August 29th.  The Luncheon will feature Northwood University economist Dr. Timothy G. Nash\, to dissect some of the most pressing current and looming issues facing businesses\, consumers\, and taxpayers in a still-struggling economy. Special emphasis will be placed on the impact of The Patient Protection and Affordable Health Care Act\, which is scheduled to begin open enrollment on Oct. 1.\n\n\n\nTimothy Nash joined Northwood University in 1980 and received a B.B.A. from the University\, an M.A. in Economics from Central Michigan University\, and his doctorate from Wayne State University.  He is a professor of Economics and Business for the undergraduate program and is a professor of Economics and Public Policy at the DeVos Graduate School.  His travels and research have taken him to over 30 countries from China and Mexico to Poland and Switzerland.  Nash and his colleagues have conducted research and consulting for a number of Fortune 500 Companies\, the National Automobile Dealers Association\, the Michigan Chamber of Commerce Foundation\, Chrysler and Dow Corning Corporation.\n\n\n\nPlease join us for this informative and invigorating event.
