Hear how different industries perceive and affect our local economy and participate in a question and answer program with our guest speakers.

PANEL SPEAKERS
Jennifer Sturdy, Vice President, Client & Community Relations Director, PNC in Mid-Michigan
Jennifer plays an integral role establishing PNC as a leader in community and philanthropic engagement, particularly in the field of early childhood education through PNC Foundation’s signature program Grow Up Great. Among her civic and professional affiliations, she is chair elect of the Athena WIN organization, board member Impression 5 Science Center, Great Start Collaborative of Ingham County, LEAP place making council and the Lansing Arts Council place making summit.
Brad Wahr, Vice President of Commercial Lending, Mercantile Bank of Michigan
Brad Wahr has spent over ten years working in the commercial banking industry for Mercantile Bank of Michigan. He has spent time working in the Mt Pleasant, Lansing and Metro-Detroit markets. Outside of banking, Brad has a passion for volunteering on various economic development boards and committees. He currently is on the Downtown Mount Pleasant TIFA Board, the Downtown Mt Pleasant Principal Shopping District Board and the Middle Michigan Development Corporation Board. Brad and his wife, Anne, currently live in Mt Pleasant where they are raising their three boys.
Jennifer White, Vice President, Marketing & Physician Services, McLaren Central Michigan; CEO, Isabella Citizens for Health, Inc.
Jennifer is currently dual-employed by both McLaren Central Michigan and Isabella Citizens for Health, Inc. (ICH). ICH is an organization created in 2010 to establish a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) in Isabella County. Jennifer became the Chief Executive Officer in June 2013. In October 2014, ICH became a “look alike” FQHC. Soon after, in May 2015, the Center was successful in receiving its fully-funded FQHC designation by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Health Resources and Services Administration.
As Chief Executive Officer, she is responsible for the entire operation of a health center that provides primary care services to all people of all ages regardless of insurance status. Jennifer is the primary liaison to the Center’s Board of Directors. She provides direction and leadership in achieving the ICH’s mission and strategic direction, which is primarily to provide access to primary medical care for all people. Since 2013, the health center has grown from one provider to 9 full-time medical providers, added a second service site, and integrated behavioral health services within the medical home.
Rich Wells, Vice President Operations Canada/US North and Site Director Michigan Operations, Dow Chemical
Over the course of his 30-year career with The Dow Chemical Company, Rich Wells has held leadership roles in a wide range of areas including advanced manufacturing and engineering (M&E); business leadership; environment, health and safety (EH&S); energy and climate change; and public policy. As a member of the Dow Operations Leadership Team, Wells is responsible for 10 advanced manufacturing sites across North America, ensuring the production and delivery of world-class products and solutions in a safe, reliable, and efficient manner. He also directly manages Dow Michigan Operations—a global strategic site with over 3,000 employees manufacturing specialty products for the agricultural, automotive, energy, electronics, pharmaceutical, and food industries.
